Rankings
We sanction the fight, not the format — so anything safe gets ranked. Ranked formats (duels, profight, the melees) run a season-long points ladder. Open formats (Kill the King, Free for All, Oddball) are sanctioned for safety and tracked on their own community boards, kept out of the main ladder so neither one muddies the other.

Open Formats
These count for bragging rights, not the ladder. Open formats are chaotic by design and run smaller sample sizes, so blending them into the ranked ladder would make every number mean less. Same gear standard, same certified marshals — separate scoreboard. Win a format often enough and we'll put a season trophy behind it.
